Excellent service. Fantastic food at the restaurant. Clean, spacious, and modern chic accommodations.

                10.0

The design and ambience of the hotel were splendid, and the chef was excellent. Staff were helpful and courteous.

Perhaps because the kitchen was unavailable (refurbishment), but the waitressing service at breakfast was not particularly good. It seemed like most of the breakfast staff (with the exception of Avril and her colleague), did not really have much experience, or were simply not very observant.

                9.6

The rooms very lovely and the breakfast was great

Maybe a wider range of food on the menu in the restaurant

                9.6

Really central, friendly and helpful staff and excellent cocktails

It's a joke the way the malmaison and other hotels in Belfast don't have special parking rates arranged with the car park companies. After originally getting a good deal on our stay in the hotel, the price jumped hugely after adding in parking fees. Hotels in Belfast please take this into consideration!!!!!

Room much smaller than impression from website and felt quite clausterphobic.

I've stayed here before and will stay again, I love it ! We arrived early and I had come down with food poisioning the previous night in Dublin. They sorted a room quickly and couldn't have been kinder. Just a fab place.

Clean food was good in restaurant

Pillows were flat. There is no parking nearby or Concessions with a car park. The gym is 1running machine 1 cross trainer 1 set dumbbells and an exercise ball in a tiny over heated room. This is not a gym.

                9.2

A great experience altogether. Beautiful room as with the rest of the hotel. Friendly efficient staff. Didn't have breakfast this time but would love to stay again and will do then.

Bed was harder than I expected but a small complaint for an otherwise excellent experience.

              • Older travelers
                6.2

                Room was comfortable enough

Common toilets are disgracefully dirty - Black tiles hides a million ills.

                10.0

Really enjoyed my stay. Right next to the Victoria shopping centre. Right in the city centre. Walking distance to Belfast central train station. The staff are great and it was a really trendy hotel. Would most definitely stay there again!

A little complaint was our room was at the front of the hotel and the passing traffic was quite loud.

              • Couple
                9.2

Staff friendly, room comfortable in quite a central part of Belfast. Breakfast was nice

Parking is not ideal. The hotel sits on a fairly complicated one-way system, which would be difficult for people to negotiate who are unfamiar with the city.

This hotel is exelent however we had a most unpleasant experience when leaving we where asked to pay an extra 100 pounds for smoking in the room and where informed it was against the law I know the law and it would be a civil matter and not one for the local constabulary . I declined to pay the 100 pounds cancelled my credit card and payed with cash . I highly recommend this hotel I would sujest they make proper provision for smokers and cease this hotel policy . Otherwise excellent

No smoking policy hotels should respect there guest s

the hotel was beautiful,. in an ideal location and the rooms were a good size.

the only thing i didnt like about the hotel was the bed was very uncomfortable and was very disapointing, it was beyond firm i think the hotel could invest in better mattresses, also the only other thing if i had to comment on was the lighting in the room ,. obviously it matches the theme of the hotel but i found it hard to get ready and apply make up as it was to dull, to be fair this wouldnt make me not stay at this hotel again.

its the nicest hotel i've ever stayed at, i read a review somewhere before booking that "its like walking into dracula's lounge" that was on the button, if you like hotels that are a bit different and staff that aren't stuck up their arse then i recommend the malmaison. i didnt eat in the hotel so cant comment on food but bar is nice and stylish and fairly priced.

+being irish :) i was excited when i was told about 24hour bar for guests. when we got back in at about 1am, the guy standing behind the bar worked in the kitchen and couldnt serve me, the guy in reception came in and said he'd serve me in a few mins cos he was busy, when he did come back his phone at reception rang again and he had to go back and answer it. so just decided to leave it so. surely 24 hour bar would have a bar-man on duty. +also room was a little noisey from the room above, but its an old building so was kinda expecting it.
